Born in April 1991, to Clark and Donna Edwards, David is the youngest of three children. His father has been a Methodist pastor for the past forty years and his mother, a healthcare professional. His older brother, Bryan, is a successful country artist and songwriter, who is also one half of the duo, Indigo Summer. His sister Tracey served in the army and now works for the nonprofit Rise Against Hunger, providing meals for the less fortunate around the world.
With a sibling in the music industry and one in the military, David decided the best direction for his life would be sports, He put his focus on athletics with dreams of becoming a professional baseball player. Although he showed proficiency in music, and would occasionally lead worship at his church, music took a back seat when it came to sports.
David’s pursuit of Baseball landed him a spot on Clearwater Christian College’s team in 2010, but an ACL tear and the discovery of a genetic eye disease cut his dreams short. Throughout the adversity, he continued to lead worship even taking on more of a role at his church, Bridgepoint. He graduated from CCC in 2014 with a degree in Business Management and began working at Bridgepoint Church as the worship director.
David was ordained as the Worship Pastor at Bridgepoint in 2017. He released his second single “Always Good” in December 2017, which also appeared on his Debut EP “Dare To Be”. “Dare To Be” was released in the spring of 2018 and charted on the iTunes Top Christian Albums at #24.
In December of 2018 David and his wife, Amy, welcomed their first child, Norah Jane. David and his family currently reside in St. Petersburg, Florida.
